Statement Top

Off the shoulder top

In my opinion, everyone needs a good statement top in their closet. I think it's a great way to mix things up. This off the shoulder top is definitely a show stopper. When I saw this top online, it was love at first sight. The sweetheart neckline to the ruffled peplum just gives a feminine touch.

For this post, I wanted the top to be the main focus. Something interesting about me, when I style a look I like to have one piece to be the "statement piece". For this post, it's this off the shoulder top.

I wanted to do something different and paired this top with black slacks. This might be the first time I have ever styled a pair of slacks. You guys know, if you follow my blog, I am a jean kind of girl. For this look, I wanted to mix it up that way I can keep y'all on your toes. Haha. Anyways, I found these pants a couple of weeks ago and I highly recommended them. My mom always told me that every woman needs a good pair of black pants in their closet. Has anyone else heard that before?

On top of that, the material is amazing and fits so slimming down the leg. They were an inch too long for me so I decided to get them hemmed to keep it cropped. The best part is the price point on these black pants. I want to say they were under $40 but I'll link them below.

For the shoe, I continued to keep this look simple so I paired it with my black sandals.  A little side note, I've been looking for a pair of black sandals for about a year and the hunt is finally over. I'm not the type that would settle so if it takes that long to find a perfect pair so be it. I tried on so many brands. I know a lot of girls love the Steve Madden pair, but for me, they weren't comfortable. When I tried these Vince Camuto, they were super comfortable and looked so good on my foot I had to get them. You will see me wear them constantly on the blog.

Finally, I finished this look off with a pair of Bauble Bar earrings. I really love these star earrings that I snagged from them. I just think they are different and really added a perfect touch to this look!

What do you guys think?

Boho Vibes

Bohemian Style

I am changing it up on the blog today by giving some major boho vibes. This has to be the first time that I am styling a bohemian look. This shoot had to be one of my favorites so far. Adrian and I had so much fun capturing this dress. If you couldn't tell by the photos I had so much fun just twirling in it. One of my main focus that I wanted to get to show is the movement of this dress. It's so flowy! Every movement you make in this dress, you can see the details from every angle. While shooting this look, Adrian told me that I should do more bohemian looks because it really suits me. Haha.

Now, let's get into the details. First of all, can we talk about the embroidery on this dress? The floral pattern gives this maxi dress that boho vibe. It's not too little but not too much. The embroidery is perfect! I am also loving the lace up details, to the belted waistline, and the A-line silhouette. The belted waistline with the embroidery gives the shape you need with a maxi dress. To finish the look, I paired this dress with my new sandals that I just got from Everlane. They kind of reminded me of the Hermes ones.

Here is a little style tip: Even though summer is almost over and this look gives a summery feel to it. For fall, you can transition this look by pairing it with a leather jacket and cute sandals

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale- Last Week

Okay, guys, it's finally the end of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. This is the last week to shop the NSale before prices go back up on Monday. Like I said in previous posts, this sale has to be one of my favorites sales of all time. Don't get me wrong, I love a good sale. Every time I buy something on sale I get so excited! The reason why the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is my favorite, they put their fall products, that has never been seen, on sale. Then once the sale is done and the products that did not sell out go back to their original price. That is the reason why I love this sale because you can save money on fall products such as shoes or jeans.

This is what I call smart buying because you save and get amazing products that you will wear all fall/winter long. For instance, you know knee high boots are going to be big next season so buy them now when they are on sale. I really love the Marc Fisher knee high boots and I've been debating on getting them.  Once the sale is done it will go back up to original price. Right now they are on sale for $149 and after the sale, they go back up to $229. So what do you guys think, should I get them? I know those boots will be the "IT" boot for next season. Mark my words on that!

Most products sold out quickly but there are some great products still on sale. I will make everything shoppable below of all the products that I think is the best deals that you should save for the fall!

 Happy shopping!
