Casual Fall Outfit Under $100

Fall outfits under 100

Casual fall outfit 2018

It's that time of year again and I'm itching for Fall. Anyone else? So, I wanted to put together a casual fall outfit that's appropriate for the time of year. We are in that phase of should I buy more summer or should I start buying for fall. Well, I am here to help you out.

A great way to start taking your closet to the next season is by incorporating warmer colors and accessories. Since we are still having record heat here in Austin, this tank is perfect. The warm neutral colors and knit texture is so perfect for fall. I also love the feminine touch on the ruffle sleeves. Plus, the square neck is super flattering on everyone! (Side note: this tank is currently on sale for $40! I would definitely snag it.)

I paired it with this super cute round brown bag (which is $48) and a must-have for fall. It has a western vibe to it which is going to be huge this fall/winter. The brown in this bag really brings out the warmer colors in this top. Just by incorporating little things like that, it can make a big difference.

To finish this look, I've paired it with my Levis shorts that I have been obsessed with since I've bought them. You can also pair it with some jeans which you can take it from a day to night look. If you pair the jeans for a night look, just style it with a simple heel and bag.

I hope this little tips will get you prepared for fall!

New York Street Style

New York Street Style
New York Style

For the longest, I always wanted to go to New York and just get that perfect street style photo.  I always see photos of girls during fashion week or the ones that live in NYC have the most amazing street style photos. I just wanted to capture the yellow cabs and the city in the background of my photos. Now, I can finally say I was able to achieve one of my photo goals!

It's so crazy how the city can really inspire me and my style. I love people watching. While I was in New York, I noticed that everyone's style is so laid back. They would wear the cutest outfit and pair it with some sneaker or a cute flat. I also saw a lot of athleisure styles. I really want to bring more effortless styles that inspired me in New York to the blog. Also, stay true to my simple but chic style.

The first day I wore this tank which I love (& it's only $24). Even though it is simple, I love the cowl neckline. It shows off your shoulders and collarbone which is super flattering on every woman. I paired it with my favorite denim cutoff shorts and some sneakers. I felt like a true New Yorker in this outfit. It was perfect for a hot day in the city!

Later that day we had dinner reservations at Gitano's which was a tropical pop-up restaurant. I went with a rose wrap-style silhouette, which gave that pretty v-neckline. I paired it with my Levis jeans and black heels. Butttt... Let's talk about this top! It's simply amazing and a great
elevated basic to add to your everyday style. I swooned over those sleeves. If you are not into patterns, it also comes in white. (side note... I'm debating on getting it because I love it so much).  Anyways, these two outfits had to be my two favorite looks from the trip!

Our New York City Travel Diary

New York City Travel Guide

Arlo NoMad New York City

I am overdue on our New York City Travel Guide, and now playing catch up since the Nordstrom sale is over.

This was my first time ever in NYC and I have been dreaming about this moment for the longest time! We stayed in Midtown which seems to be the center of everything. Also, walking distance from a lot of the spots we wanted to go to.

We stayed at this dreamy hotel called, Arlo NoMad, which we definitely got the New York style view from our room. One side was all of the building and the other side was literally someone working in the building. We booked the city view just because the Skyview was already booked which really gives you a view of the whole city. The hotel, in general, was a super cute boutique style hotel. I have to admit, I didn't expect it to be so small but I guess that's New York for you!

Our first stop was pizza! We ate at the famous Joe's Pizza close to Time Square. I got to say I really loved New York's pizza. It kind of reminded me of the pizza in Europe. Then, we just walked around and rested up. Since it was the 4th of July, we were able to catch the fireworks on the street and we grabbed some street hotdogs. It was kind of funny how excited I was to try some food from a street vendor.

The second day, we went to Cha Cha Matcha. We tried our first cronut which was amazing! They also had some amazing matcha drinks. It was a super cute and chill place. I really wanted to start our day there every day!
From there we kind of just walked around not knowing where we were going. I'm sure we looked lost for most of the day. HAHA. We ended up in Little Italy, then China Town, and Canal Street. During that time, we would stop at stores to shop and to eat just admiring the city.
For me, it was crazy to see a mass of people going in every direction possible just on the go. I loved the energy of the city.

Then, we ended up at Bryant Park which was simply gorgeous.
After walking around the city seeing all these people just on the go constantly to people just sunbathing and enjoying each others company at the park. It was so relaxing, beautiful, and peaceful.

After Bryant Park, we had to head back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. We had early dinner reservations at this pop-up restaurant that Adrian wanted to try out called Gitano. It's a restaurant that's in Tulum which opened in New York for the summer. I loved the tropical Tulum summery vibe. The food and drinks were amazing so if you are New York I recommended checking that place out before it closes. Recently, I saw on Instagram that Emily Rata was eating there.
After dinner, we went to check out the Flatiron district, where we just really relaxed outside drinking wine which was a  perfect way to end the day.

The third day, it started to rain so we had a late start. We had lunch at Pietro Nolita which was a super cute and Instagramable restaurant/ coffee shop. Everything was pink!
Then, we had to run to Dumbo and the Brooklyn Bridge. It was on our NYC list of things to do!

Since we had a late start from there we had to run back to the hotel to change for dinner. We had a reservation at Bar 65. I mean the view was insane. It was absolutely breathtaking and gorgeous. The food was amazing as well. Definitely, highly recommend that restaurant if you are traveling to New York. Just a little heads up, it could be super windy so ladies wear your hair up. haha.

The fourth day, we went to the upper east side which I was super excited! I love Gossip Girl so I couldn't wait to go to Central Park and shop on the Upper East Side. We didn't have that much time for shopping, but my one request was to go to a perfume store. I wanted to buy a perfume so that every time I put it on it would remind me of our time in NYC.  We ended up going to Jo Malone which I've been dying to try their perfume out. The girl that was working was extremely nice and just made the experience that much better.

From there, we just walked to Central Park and admiring the upper east side. I loved seeing all of the townhomes and absolutely loved Central Park. We had to cut our visit short because we had to go watch Croatia play in the World cup.
We watched the game in Astoria which was so fun to experience. Croatia winning just added the icing on the cake.

The next day it was time for us to leave which I wasn't ready to leave. The whole experience was so much fun and loved every minute of it! I can't wait to go back or maybe move there one day! I guess we will see...
