Shop Sweaters For $50 and Under

Shop sweaters for $50 and under

My favorite time of year has finally arrived. It's sweater weather! Haha. I'm just kidding but fall and winter is really my favorite time of year. I love when the temperature starts to drop because I can't wait till it's time to bring out my sweaters.

I've been traveling back and forth from Austin and New Orleans. Surprisingly enough, we are already getting cooler weather which I am super excited about. If this is your first time stumbling onto my blog, I'm based in Austin but I have family that lives in New Orleans. I come down here as much as I can to visit with them.

Also, if you are new to following me, you will soon realize that I have a big sweater problem. I love a good sweater and love to wear them all season long. So, I want to give you guys all of my tricks and tips where I shop all of my sweaters for $50 and under.

Since I love to buy so many I like to keep myself on a budget. I like to stay around $100 and below. I know some sweaters tend to be pricier due to their quality. Some of my favorite places to shop for sweaters are Nordstrom, Everlane, Urban Outfitters, and H&M

By the way, H&M is killing it! One year I bought a cashmere sweater that was under $100 for Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend from H&M. Also, last year I bought a cashmere sweater from Nordstrom that was around $70. Definitely, keep an eye out on those stores because you can find great quality sweaters on budget.

My favorite thing to do is to find creative ways to style and layer my sweaters. One way is by layering it over a long slip dress. Another way is by layering tee or a button down under my sweaters. For more ideas, my previous post I was talking about how you can style an oversized sweater all season long. Be sure to check that post out for more tips!

Ways to Style An Oversized Sweater for Fall

Ways to Style an Oversized Sweater
Oversized Sweater for $20

For fall and winter, I live in oversized sweaters.... well, sweaters in general. For each season, I just love styling them differently. For fall, I like to style it more laid back. Since this sweater is oversized it just falls off of one shoulder which I really love. It's an effortless look that I paired it with my skinny jeans and the most comfortable heels I own. The one thing I love about this sweater is all the ways you can style it. Plus, it's only $20 and you can create so many looks. Here are the couple of ways I would style an oversized sweater.

For fall, another way I would style this sweater is by pairing it with my distressed denim and booties.
On my Insta-stories, I did a try on-haul, which I styled it that exact way but took it to the next level by layering my lace cami underneath the sweater. Which you guys gave me so many positive feedback that you loved how I styled that look. Just in case you missed it, you can see this look here

For winter, there are a couple of ways I would style this oversized sweater. The easiest way would be to pair it with jeans and knee highs. I'm sure that is going to be my uniform all winter long! Another way I would style this sweater is by layering it, add a button-down underneath paired with jeans and knee-highs. This look would be a perfect look for work or dress it up by pairing it with black slacks and heels. You can also layer it with a with a t-shirt or turtleneck just depending on the weather.

Since this sweater is oversized, I could see myself pairing it with my leather skirt. The way I would style this particular look is the peek a boo effect. I am not sure if that's the "styling term". Basically, I would want the skirt to peek just a little bit under the sweater. Then complete the look by pairing it with a longer coat and knee highs.

There you have it, the perfect sweater that is budget friendly!

Floral Dress for Fall

I've been looking for the perfect fall dress and found it on my favorite site Chicwish. The color and details really won me over. Plus, it's on sale for under $50!  Everything about this dress screams fall from the watercolor floral print to the flare-sleeves. I paired it with some knee-high boots but you can pair it with some booties. The temperatures have been following and we are getting more fall-like weather so I could see myself adding a leather jacket. It will give it the perfect girly edge! For colder weather, you can just pair it with a longer coat and knee highs. Perfect for all season long!

What do you guys think?

Bomber Jackets For Fall

Bomber Jacket for Fall

For fall, I love a good bomber jacket! It's not too heavy and not too light. It's the happy medium! Plus, it's the perfect way to start transiting your outfits to fall. This season they have brought it back bigger than ever! By adding embellishments, florals, even velvet, they are evolving into a staple piece everyone needs in their closets. I am dying to have this velvet one from Jcrew

Yesterday, I was watching Wheel of Fortune with my dad and one of the puzzles was something you wear or you have in your closet. The answer was a bomber jacket. My dad was like what is a bomber jacket. I thought it was funny I had to explain it to him. haha

Anyways, I can't live without a bomber jacket. If I could I would invest one in every color. You can pair it with just about any outfits from dresses to basics. It really adds a cool factor to your outfit.

What fall staple you can't live without for fall?
