How to Shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017

Your first look to the Nordstrom Anniversary 2018 HERE and the Nordstrom Anniversary sale catalog here

We all know that the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is the biggest sale of the year. That being said, I know shopping this sale can be a little difficult and overwhelming.

The sale hasn't started yet but for card members, it begins on Thursday. I've already written a blog post about all the details and dates that you need to know about the NSale. This post will be about the easiest ways for you to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary sale.

Before I get into the details, I have to share a funny story that happened to me.

On Sunday, my friend Ashley invited me to a preview for the NSale. The workers at Nordstrom created this event for their exclusive customers. They pulled some of their favorite pieces and created a runway show. After the show, you could go through all the items and if you like any you could pre-order them.

I was super excited about this because I was able to get my hands on the items before going on sale.
The event was fun but these women were so CRAZY!!! Everything I wanted to see or try on was already taken. They were literally pushing me out of the way to get to these items. The funny part about this story is that you couldn't even purchase anything! So, I couldn't believe how aggressive they were. Lol!

Can you imagine how they would be when these items actually go on sale? Nooo, thank you. I don't even want to know so I'll be doing all of my shopping online. I am not going to be pushed around again. HAHA

For a month now, I've been planning for the NSale. I wanted to come up with ideas on how to make shopping it the easiest way possible for you all.

There are a couple of ways that you can shop this sale:

1. First of all, everything will be on my blog from clothing to home furnishings. This can be your one-stop shop for everything you need to know about the anniversary sale!

2. I am going to post photos nonstop on Instagram.  All of my outfits are linked through LikeToKnow.it so you can shop my favorite items through your email or through the LikeToKnow.it app.

3. Don't worry if you don't follow along with Liketoknowit, I created a"Shop My Outfits" page where you can click on any image and you can shop all the items from the NSale.

4. I want this sale to be as convenient as possible for you so I will be posting on the blog at least three times per week or even more. Every post will be easy to shop and laid out in categories. It will be super organized!

Now, let's get into the details and shop:

Boots:

Boots are always a good idea!
Last year, I kicked myself in the butt for not buying a pair. This year, I have my eyes on the Marc Fisher Arrine over the knee boots.
I am 99.9% positive that these boots are going to be the "IT" boot of the season. During the sale, they are $149.90. After the sale, the prices go up to $228.95. That's almost 40% off!! I would definitely grab it while you can!

For a couple of seasons now, I have been on a lookout for a good Chelsea boot. Which you can see above there are so many options. Once again, my favorite pair is the Marc Fisher Yommi bootie. I have a couple pairs of shoes from them and I always recommended that brand!

Sneakers:

One of the biggest trend this year was sneakers!
From the runway to off the runway, I've seen sneaker paired with just about any outfit. You guys know that I am all about comfort so I am loving this trend.

My favorite pair is the Adidas Tubular. Those are one of the purchases I am making on Thursday. So keep a look out on how I am going to style them!

Mules + Heels:

Mules have been introduced a couple of seasons ago. The more traditional pair are like the BP Tale Slide. Throughout the season, they have transitioned to more of a loafer mule which is going to major for fall/winter!

I think a loafer mule is an easier way to make any outfit look put together. You can pair them with just about anything from dresses to shorts all season long. This upcoming season, it looks like designers are adding embellishments to them. I absolutely love that! It just makes adds more of a statement. You can see above there is a huge selection for the NSale this year.

Don't forget about your heels! My styling tip is to stay neutral. You can never go wrong with a black or nude heel. To add a pop of color, I love the color red. The Sam Edelman pair are gorgeous!

Tops + Blouses:

For tops, this is a geat time to restock on your basic tees and tanks. I was looking through the catalog and it ranges from $10 to $25. You can't really beat that!

For blouses, I love a good button down. You can never go wrong with a classic crisp button-down top. If you want to go more trendy with your blouse, you could do a bell sleeve, an off the shoulder top, or even one shoulder. Last week, I wrote a post about one shoulder tops. Personally, I think they are going to be bigger then off the shoulder tops this fall/winter.

The showstopper has to be the Elizabeth and James v-neck silk ruffle top. During the preview, the model was wearing this top and everyone was in all. This was actually one of the tops I wanted to try on but it was already gone!
For sure, that top will sell out!

Sweaters:

These are just a few sweaters that I am swooning over! Personally, I will be stocking up on sweaters for winter.

Cardigan + Jackets:

I can't express how much I highly recommend to buy jackets and cardigans for this sale. I know, I know. Why do you want to buy a coat during the summer time? It's basically 100 degrees down here in the south.
True story: Two years I bought a leather jacket and I wasn't sure if I should get it. That was the best purchase I have ever made. Not only was it 50% off, I literally wore it all fall/ winter long. I still wear it to this day!!
So I highly recommend buying a jacket for this sale. You will save so much money!

Jeans + Pants:

This is also a good time to save on a good pair of jeans or pants. You can never go wrong with that! I love how all of the designers are playing around with hems this upcoming season. You can see that cropped jeans and pants are going to be the biggest trend.

Athletic Wear:

I love a good workout outfit!
I don't know about you guys but when I wear cute workout clothes it helps me to go to the gym more often. Athletic wear has become so versatile these days which you would know it by the athleisure trend.

Dresses + Skirts:

The trend that I really have my eye on is the slip dress. There are so many looks that you can create just with one slip dress. You can pair it with a t-shirt underneath or over it. You can layer it for the fall and winter. There are so many ways you can style it!
Also, I've been looking for a good leather skirt. I feel like everyone needs a good leather skirt in their closet. It's a real staple that you can dress it up with heels or dress it down with sneakers.

Undergarments + PJ's:

Accessories:

If you are a purse girl, this is a great time to buy your fall and winter bags. Personally, I am not really a purse girl. I'm more of a shoe girl. For me, a black bag can go all season long.

I know some people style their looks around their bag. This is a great way to incorporate trends that you will see during fall/winter. For example, velvet is going to be big. Rebecca Minkoff was able to add that trend to her fall line. The black mini velvet crossbody bag is my personal favorite. During the sale, it's $116 and after the sale, it goes up to $175.
